Sea & Sand was founded by two Swedes, Maria and Lena, mainly because
of their adoration of Phuket and it’s eclectic environment which is suited perfectly for all
kinds of events.
Following both our own fantastic weddings in Phuket we realized that we had developed an
extensive list of contacts that would enable us to start a event and wedding business.
Maria, having lived in Stockholm, New York, London, Sri Lanka, South of France and Spain finally
found her paradise in Phuket 5 years ago. She has worked in Investment Banking in New York
and London and whilst in New York she also organized summer parties in the Hamptons, Long
Island. Whilst in Phuket, Maria has worked in property sales and marketing, and helping her
partner (who was trained as a chef at the Ritz in Paris) with various functions in Phuket.
Lena another globetrotter is now living in country No 9, after spending time in Africa, the
Caribbean, The Middle East, North America, Europe and now in beautiful Phuket, Thailand.
Lena has worked as a marketing manager in several different industries.
Organizing events, has always been a great enjoyment and she loves the creative aspects of
event planning - nothing is impossible!
